Ecological Restoration Plan - creating extended habitats for native flora and fauna.

The quarries operate in the most environmentally friendly way possible and exceed national guidelines. On completion of quarry operations, we will ensure that they are restored, to allow for local fauna and wildlife to proliferate.

All the quarries have approved restoration plans, which guarantee the creation of the habitats.

As a responsible producer, we ensure recultivation by planting selected smaller plants and reforestation. All slopes are seeded, both for added stabilization and slope greening.

We do not leave fallow landscapes! If no further use is possible after mining, e.g. as industrial or residential use, or arable land a lake will be created by filling the excavated area with fresh water, providing space for biodiversity.

Continuous natural seeding with local flora ensures that after a short time the mined areas are no longer distinguishable (not only visually) from the original mountain massif.
