Acting sustainably - our responsibility
Since its foundation over 40 years ago, the Mibau Stema Group has developed from a building materials trader into a fully integrated raw materials group. The founding Hartmann family is still active in the company and is responsible for the belt unloading vessels of our logistscs chain. With our fleet of self-discharging vessels, we transport aggregates directly to the customers or to one of our 40+ port terminals along the coast of the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
In 1993, Heidelberg Materials, one of the world’s leading suppliers of aggregates, ready-mix concrete and cement, made a strategic acquisition for part of Mibau Stema. The group has a clear priority towards a sustainable and responsible sourcing, Furthermore, we have clear policies in place for how to deal with all stakeholders including neighbours, business partners and employees, To limit global warming not to exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius, Heidelberg Materials has ambitious goals to reduce group emissions. In addition to the reduction or neutralisation of greenhouse gas emissions generated during production, a target has been set to develop climate-neutral concrete by 2050.
As one of the largest suppliers of mineral building materials in Northern Europe, Mibau Stema Group are aware of our responsibility along our entire value chain. In our Norwegian Quarries. We produce up to 17 million tons of aggregates per year for a wide range of applications.
